Cantor Natan Fetman was born in Haifa, Israel, and attended the Yeshiva Rabbinical College, graduating in 1968. He served in the Israeli Defense Forces for three years and then trained at the Haifa Cantorial Conservatory. He has recorded both religious and secular albums and has been a winner at the Hassidic Festival in Israel several years in a row. His father and grandfather were also cantors. According to Cantor Fetman, his fundamental knowledge, skills, and the essence of being a cantor were derived from his grandfather. In 1975 he moved to Elizabeth, New Jersey where he met his wife, Ayala. The couple have raised four children and currently reside in Munsey, New York. Cantor Natan Fetman has been the Cantor at Temple Sholom in Bridgewater since 1978. He has prepared over 1000 children for their bar and bat mitzvah.
